
Mustafa Abdel-Wadood is a seasoned global investor and operator with a 30-year track record in emerging markets. As founder and CEO of Equidius, he actively deploys capital in private opportunities and commercial partnerships worldwide, leveraging his extensive network of policymakers, corporate leaders and institutional investors.
Mustafa has overseen more than $10 billion in private equity investments and 70 successful exits across over 35 countries, including landmark transactions such as the $2 billion buyout of the Egyptian Fertilizer Company and investments in Careem and Network International.
Previously, Mustafa was the Global Head of Private Equity at The Abraaj Group, growing assets under management from $1 billion to $10 billion during his tenure. He also held significant roles at EFG-Hermes and Orascom Group, spearheading transformational deals and international expansion efforts. Named one of the World Economic Forum’s “100 Global Leaders for Tomorrow,” Mustafa holds a bachelor’s degree from the American University in Cairo and an MBA from Georgetown University.
